I had a blast today! Phyllis came back to Frederick for a visit. After giving her a tour of our new house, I quickly convinced her to take a ride with me on the A.T.V. I have to give her credit, she was willing to give it a try & we tore up the side of the mountain. The weather was absolutely perfect and I think she took to it like a fish to water because as soon as we gathered some speed, the wind blowing our hair, I could hear her loudly exclaim several times… “This is Great!” Here are a couple of pix for ya!
After our ride, we all went out to dinner in Fairfield, PA. & enjoyed good conversation and way too much food. During our talk, it came out that Phyllis really misses living here and is considering moving back! We shall keep our fingers crossed.
Cool glad you had a good time. So is Phyllis a family member?? I remember reading on the blog stuff she wrote. Hope you dont mind me asking just curious cause you seemed so happy…Have a great day, Hi Wendy
Stephanie
Ummm… Phyllis is not technically a blood relative of mine, but I consider her “almost family”. Back when I was a Store Manager for CVS, she was a Shift Manager and we had so much fun at work. She moved away to Michigan at the end of last year and I moved to a different store. Phyllis & I as well as the rest of the Management during that period still keep in touch to compare our present situation to the “glory days”.
Hope that helps ya get a clear picture Stephanie!
Take care!
It’s so nice to ‘stay in touch’ with friends!
I can’t wait to get back to the “Old Gang”! I have missed the “Buds” very much. We’ll “get the band back together”!
Soon as possible!
PS
Mike’s house is AWSOME! Wendy is an amazing decorator!
…and the ride on the ATV was great! The boys were wonderful and the food was very good but way too much!
🙂
Yes Barb… So very nice to stay in touch! I’d like to say that I was the one who convinced Phyllis to return… but I think it’s more of a home-sick issue rather than anything. She has a lot of good friends here in Maryland!
Thanks Phyllis… On the too much food topic. That is definately one thing I noticed when I moved to the stix. All the places to eat around here over-portion. I can only speculate that it has something to do with the local “Farm-Hands” demanding full plates. Them country-boys do like to eat after a hard day out in the corn fields!
Don’t sell yourself short Mike. I do have good friends in Maryland and two of them are you and Wendy. I am missing you two already!
I also have family in Frederick and I miss the kids and “Grands” very much. ….and after all Mike, you saw Clayton’s magic trick. I don’t want to miss those moments either!
Clayton’s Magic Trick… A big group of us are standing around in front of the Pharmacy at my job and Clayton (about 4 yrs. old) says…”Do you wanna see a magic trick?” Of course, we are all like SURE!! Clayton has a quarter and he flips it from hand to hand saying Hocus-Pocus… Abera-Cadabera… then his hand and the quarter are behind his back. At this point, he looks at us and says…”Just a second, I gotta find a place to put it”. He backs up to a Display at the end of the aisle where he not so discretely places the quarter on a shelf… and both hands come flying from around his back… he loudly exclaims… TA DAAAA!!!
Quite the applause he got!
