The tax as enacted to pay for the Spanish American War. Think we've done that yet? Wasn't it Thomas Jefferson who said that the least government is the best government? I believe that it was Socrates who said that the best politician is the person who doesn't want to be a politician. I'd like to go to lunch with those two gentlemen.
