I've seen those rubber bracelets! I thought they were for charity or to support some worthwhile cause! I feel naive now!

Rainbow parties, If I remember correctly, a "trend" with the youth that involves many different colors of lipstick, oral sex and bragging rights for the boys who can obtain the most colors? Does that sum it up in a semi-tactful way?

I suppose I have written more than a few blogs on this subject, and usually with a bit of a tone towards this item of socialization. Anyone who meets my homeschooled children can't believe how open, articulate, personable, and bright they are. Then I go and read newspaper articles and see on "Oprah" the latest fashion of Rainbow Parties (don't know if you want me to explain what they are here), and I think, gee, if that's socialization, I think I will just keep my children as "misfits".

Can you imagine doing that when we went to school??
I was also in the system of discipline way back then I remember taking my wacks just so I would not have a detention because I didnt want to go home and tell my parents I had screwed up that day!!! I am all for punishment in school and out of school and I am also a very proud homeschooling Mom of two and I have had them in school and out of school and I feel my Children deserve better than what a public school has to offer and just so everyone knows there are gym classes for homeschoolers and tons of clubs for socialization and my children know as much about real life as everyone else. I am also very passionate about my childrens education and my kids are actually getting a real education and not being passed along because little Johnney can't spell but we can't hold him back because he might not like himself but lets let him look like an asshole in the public because he can't write his name or add 2+2!! Please what a crock!!!!! Homeschooling is the way to go...
