Counting Calories

Filed under: Personal — Night Owl @ 12:59 am

We're Pregnant Ok folks, the Holidays are over and it’s time to look in the mirror and lament your “Budda-Belly”. When female’s gain weight, it tends to spread over their hips, buttocks & arms. I on the other hand start to look about 5 months preggo as the rest of me stays exactly the same.

So Wendy & I are now on a strict calorie counting diet and exercising regularly! For the last month, I have drank nothing but water & Starbucks coffee (no cream, no sugar). I’ve not eaten a single candy bar, and I get carefully measured portions at mealtime. I miss my Coca-Cola and Milky Ways so very much!

The effort has not been without it rewards though, between the two of us, we’ve shed 25 pounds. That’s like two bags of ice and a sack of potatoes!

I remember a time when I could eat whatever I wanted and always thought of myself as too skinny, growing old sure sux!

Dedicated Server — Superbowl Commercials

Filed under: Personal — Night Owl @ 12:00 am

Mshepherd.com has been in limbo for a while now due to the fact that we just moved to a dedicated server. It’s a very nice thought indeed knowing that we now have our very own server doing nothing but handling our websites. Another added bonus is that bandwidth is not so restrictive so I think I’ll celebrate the moment by posting a couple of my favorite Super Bowl commercials.

I think the “Big Game” is perhaps the only time of the year that I enjoy watching commercials. It seems as if the participants go out of their way to make them funny and memorable. Or perhaps it’s simply due to the fact that they are paying millions of dollars for 30 second spots!

Anyhoo… Go ahead and click the pix, perhaps you haven’t seen them?

Harry Potter Is Growing Up!

Filed under: Fun — Night Owl @ 12:30 am

Harry Potter Growing Up“Little Harry Potter”, the boy who lived… apparently is growing up and taking notice of “shhhtufff” that will attract the attention of a teenage boy! Eventually, with time, he’ll learn to be a bit more discreet. I doubt it!

Another case of boys will be boys?
