I have not read the book yet, so I wasn't dissappointed by any of the things you identified as missing. Still, I did get the feeling some significant things were left out of the movie; not sure why. Wendy said there was a new director for this one, so that might have something to do with it. I seriously suspect that they are running out of time with the current cast of youngsters, as they appear to be growing up faster than the story unfolds. Think they'll make it? I thought I had read somewhere that Contracts with the actors that play Ron, Hermione and Harry end with this movie and there is a big question mark as to whether or not they will be renewed for the last 3 installments. In my opinion, a change of cast would be devastating to the series. I mean, I still can't get used to the "New" Dumbledore... but that might be just because I feel the Original actor conveyed his character much better. Very interesting question Lee.
