No.NO. No. You Guys Got it all wrong! The reason why girls go for the “BAD BOYS” is because of the music. And T.V. has a great influence over our minds. For example, “FLAVOR OF LOVE,” “ELIMADATE,” “LA GUNA NIGUEL,” “A RICH BACHELOR LOOKING FOR A WIFE,” just to name a few. Another example of why the bad boy image is so popular,is because of the music that we here over our sound waves. Girls just wanna have fun!!! Bad Boys are dare devils, they like to have fun. They are ruff around the edges. Unfortunately, the clean cut, business smart guys with their head on their shoulders are currently out of date. Just bare in mind this “BAD BOY” era is just a fad. It will play out in due time. The good guys will be back on the map shortly. So all you “GOOD GUYS” out there hold your heads up, your time is approaching shortly!!!

Phyllis, Phyllis, Phyllis… I think you must have some bad info. First, how did you ever get the impression that Barb was married to a CVS Pharmacist? Simply not the case.

Second… even if she was, I doubt that income would be considered “Rich”. Perhaps upper middle class… but certainly not rich.

Personally, I don’t find Bad Boys the least bit interesting and never did. HOWEVER, a nice Harvard graduate with a six figure income would be fine with me!

As usual, you made articulate, well thought-out points on the subject matter that I tend to agree with. I would however, like to take this opportunity to clarify that I in no way intended you or anyone else to construe this post in a manner that would suggest I’m stereotyping the entire female population. This thread started as I’m sure you’re aware, as innocent “razzing” between myself and Laura regarding her unwillingness to date my “Mamma’s Boy” of a Son.

Apparently, your buddy Jeff took the post at face value and blogged it himself! (Chuckle) While I do feel that what I posted has a bit of “merit”, I’m not so naive as to not realize that its complexities outweigh my abilities of rational thought.

It was just one of those questions that’s been around forever. You made a wonderful parallel in your last paragraph when you said… “Fellas seem to marry these virginal types, all the while wishing openly or secretly for something else.” While you certainly can’t stereotype the entire male population with that “stigma”, the statement does have merit! Why that may or may not be, we can hypothesize from now until the end of time. Why? because it’s fun!
