In other news, less than twelve days left until the new Harry Potter book. I put the required days off on the calendar at work today. I absolutely refuse to work them. This ranks right up there with Christmas and Thanksgiving to me!

In case anyone is bored… here are some various interesting things I’ve found in my I-Web travels…

Just plain wrong… See where our Justice System in heading?

Happy Independence Day to all!

Where did I get all my energy today? I worked 9 hours on a Holiday, (YooHoo for Time and 1/2) When I came home, I made dinner for the Wife and Kids, then I did the dishes & cleaned and vacuumed the whole house. Once dusk arrived, the whole family went out into the driveway where the boys had a blast lighting off a box of fireworks I brought home. I’m glad that I don’t work tomorrow, I think I’ll need a relaxing day. If anyone needs me in the morning, too bad… I’ll be having breakfast at my favorite haunt in Pennsylvania.

Harry Potter

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince
Just 15 more days…
In case you didn’t know, I’m a Harry Potter Freakazoid, and I’m not the least bit ashamed to say it. I’ve read all five books at least 3 times each. I have every book on AUDIO CD which I listen to during my morning and evening work commute (Jim Dale Rocks). I have all the movies on DVD. I had to buy a new Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone movie because I wore my first one out. I didn’t know you could wear a DVD out!

I’ve never been much of a reader until I picked up that first Harry Potter Book. It must be something about J.K. Rowling’s writing style that appeals to me… I just can’t put the book down. She has a way of just taking you off into fantasy land.

So now I find myself giddy with anticipation over this next book. You wanna know how serious I am about this? On the day the book is released, I will have arranged to have 3 consecutive days off from work. I will awake early in the morning, get a cup of Starbucks coffee, buy the book… and proceed to marathon read till I’m done. If you’re reading this Mrs. Rowling….. THANK YOU for Harry Potter!

Internet Respite

Believe it or not, even I get toasted out with the Internet ocassionally. As witnessed by my periodic dissapearances from time to time. Usually, I will have company over or be seriously addicted to a game. There is one thing about having house-guests that baffles me to this very day. Why does everyone want to be on MY computer? It never fails, I have 6 functional computers in my house and just let me move out of my chair and there is an 82% chance that when I return, someone will have taken over my beloved machine. What’s up with that?
