I went with the old "better safe than sorry". I invited her over for a BBQ... gave her a mother's day card with a gift certificate for a dinner out. What in Merlin's Beard is a pitcher plant Xerraire?

Well, Mike. I'd say that Victoria's Secret is out so you might try taking her to dinner. Then she could choose her own meal and if she doesn't like it ... it's not your fault. She likes Macaroni Grill. AND Wendy won't have to cook anything so she'll like it too.

My mom loves plants and flowers. I always go to a nursery and look for something that either she really likes and can't get enough of, or something rather 'different' and then she is pleased to have a flower and something to learn about.
